I went into the menu, and I turned all access for network off. I finally could get into the menu and it stayed on long enough to mess around with it.

I unplugged everything from the tv but the power cord.
I started messing around in the menu and just touching the remote would start the loop.
After a particular bad session of looping of 10 times, I began looking at all the stuff on internet again to fix this. I had everything running on WiFi, so I tried Cabling the tv to Ethernet cord, it did not make a difference. I’m running a cable modem and a WiFi knight hawk router, and Amazon Fire Tv 4th gen. Or when using iPads or some other device. Strangely, it would loop when getting texts on my phone or watch. Recently it has been happening 10-20 times a day, sometimes within minutes of being turned on and sometimes after an hour or so. It would occasionally go into reboot loops, I could wiggle the power cord and it would stop. I know these are some old forums, but I have a samsung lcd tv from 2012.

Last year this same thing happend and I opened the back up to have a look around to see if anything obvious was wrong and with a many power on/offs it started up, much to my surprise, so the back was re-attached and we had been using it without any problems for the last 8 months.Ĭould the problem be in the software or is it a power supply problem? Hopefully someone can come up with a suggestion or two. The TV is about 6 years old, in perfect condition, I'd like to keep it but only if it's going to cost a reasonable amount to sort out. Now the power is switched off as it won't start but when the power is switched on it automatically tries to start but fails every time as above. Hopefully someone can help/advise on the problem I've got with my Smart TV (UE40D5520RKXXU).Ī few days ago the remote was used to power the TV up but it wouldn't get passed the start-up screen switching itself off then trying to restart reaching the same point and shutting down and restarting again, this just goes on and on.
